Otaki is a town in Greater Wellington that is the place for bargains. At Otaki Beach it's a choice of all the attractions of a beachside community - the sand, the sea and warm summer waters. Otaki Town lies civic, historic and Maori cultural identity. In the East, the hills ascend into a wilderness experience for trackers, rafters and hunters.
Otaki has developed its funkiest face. - 1 Rangiātea church, 33 Te Rauparaha St. Rangiātea church was built in 1848, but was burnt down in 1995 and rebuilt in 2003. Before the fire, it was the oldest Māori Anglican church in New Zealand.
