Ashbourne's main street

Ashbourne (Irish: Cill Dhéagláin, "Déaglán's church") is in County Meath, Ireland. The town is about 20 km (12 mi) north of Dublin.

Via the M2 or R135 roads from Dublin.

By bus

Bus Éireann run the 130 service from Dublin to Tayto Park via Ashbourne and Ratoath.

By plane

Ashbourne is about 22 km (14 mi) (18 minutes) away from Dublin Airport (DUB IATA).

Bus Éireann run the 109A service from Dublin Airport to Kells via Dublin City Centre, Ashbourne, Ratoath, Dunshaughlin and Navan.

By bus

The following bus routes provide service beyond the town, and may be useful to those who wish to explore the surrounding vicinity. They all operate north-south through the town along the R135 road, and can also be used for journeys within the town:

  • Bus Éireann 103 provides a frequent commuter service south to Coolquay and Dublin City and west to Ratoath, every 20 minutes Monday to Saturday and every 30 minutes on Sundays.
  • Bus Éireann 105 operates northeast to Tayto Park, Duleek and Drogheda, and southwest to Ratoath, Dunboyne and Blanchardstown, every hour Monday to Sunday.
  • Bus Éireann 109A provides a 24 hour service northwest to Ratoath, Dunshaughlin, Navan and Kells, and southeast to Dublin Airport, extending to Dublin City at night. Buses run every hour throughout the day and night, 7 days a week.
  • Go-Ahead 197 operates east to Rolestown and Swords, every hour Monday to Sunday.

  • 1 Tayto Park, +353 1 835 1999. Theme park and zoo owned by Tayto, Ireland's potato crisp brand. Ticket prices vary at peak (July–August) and off-peak (24 March – 30 June, September – October Mid-Term) times of the year. A handful of attractions are included with the entry fee including a tour of Tayto's crisp factory.
