Pangkalan Bun (or Pangkalanbun) is a city in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia and best known as gateway city for orangutan watching.

Get in

• 1 Iskandar Airport (PKN  ^IATA). The airport has flights to/from several major cities (such as Jakarta, Surabaya, and Banjarmasin) with Trigana Air and Kalstar  

If one prefers land travel there are buses to and from Pontianak and Palangkaraya.

• Visit Tanjung Puting National Park to see orangutan.
