Takinoue (滝上) is a town in Okhotsk, Hokkaido.

By plane

Use Monbetsu or Asahikawa Airport.

By bus

Highway bus "Ryūhyō Monbetu" runs from Sapporo to Monbetsu via Takinoue, with 3round trips for direct service and 1round trip Asahikawa indirect service per day. Takes about 3hr 30min and ¥4280 fare from/to Sapporo.

There is another local bus service from/to Monbetsu.

Hokumon Bus operates bus services around the town.

See

• 1 Kinsenkyō (錦仙峡). The valley made by Shokotsu River near the town center. The promenade has been developed. You can enjoy the views of varied depending on the season. 
• 2 Takinoue Park (滝上公園). Best time to see, early May - early June.. Shibazakura (moss phlox) bloom in the large park. In Sibazkura season ¥500, other season free..

Ukishima wetlands

• 1 Ukisima Wetlands (浮島湿原). mid June - late Oct.. The high moor on 850 meters above sea level, about 700 ha area. The pounds of various sizes are scattered, because there is a floating island (Ukisima, 浮島) that made by the wetlands grass roots to some pounds, this name is attached. The promenade has been developed, walking time from the parking is about 2-3 hrs. Free..
