Stay safe

With the very notable exception of Ostrava, North Moravia and Silesia has an average crime rate by Czech standards. Ostrava, despite its charm, has suffered greatly from deindustrialization and the fall of the Soviet Union: it is seen as the "drug capital" of the Czech Republic and aggravated assaults are not unheard of.
