Asia > Southeast Asia > Philippines > Visayas > Bohol > Getafe (Bohol)

Getafe or Jetafe is a seaside town of 33,000 people (2019) at the northwest corner of Bohol.

Understand

[edit]

Getafe includes the islands of Jandayan (Handayan), Banacon, and the western part of Mahanay. The small islands of Nasingin and Pandanon are considered to be one of the most densely populated islands in the world.

Get in

[edit]

There are boats to and from Lapu-Lapu; the pier on the Lapu-Lapu end is described in our Olango Island article.

The town is on the coastal road that rings Bohol, so it is accessible by road from nearly anywhere on the island.
