Ola (Russian:ола, O-la) is a city of 6,000 people (2021) in Magadan Oblast at the mouth of the Ola River, on the coast of the Tauiskaya Bay of the Sea of Okhotsk.

[edit]At the shore is a rock formation known as the three monks, together with a plaque commemorating the location of the first landing by geologists in 1928. Magadan was founded 3 years later.
