Abant is a mountain resort and nature park surrounding the eponymous lake inside the dense forests of the Western Karadeniz region of Turkey.

[edit]Abant lies around 30 km southwest of Bolu and is easily accessible from the O-4 motorway (E-80), which connects the two largest cities in Turkey, Istanbul and Ankara. A drive from either takes about 3 hours.
