Rhoscolyn is a village on Holy Island, which is just west of Anglesey and connected to it by road bridges. A monument found here suggests that the Romans regarded it as the western boundary of their empire. It has a medieval well, a 19th century church and two good beaches. The ferry port of Holyhead is five miles north.
