Port Royal is in the Alleghenies and Susquehanna Valley region of Pennsylvania.

Understand

[edit]

Port Royal is a small town of about 1,000 residents situated where the Tuscarora Creek flows into the Juniata River in central Pennsylvania. For much of its history, the town primarily served the farming community that surrounded it. Transportation has had a great effect on the town. Its location along the river allowed it to be part of the Pennsylvania Canal and part of the Pennsylvania Railroad.
