Talk

In the Northwestern Province, the largest town is Solwezi, in this province people speak Lunda, Kaonde, Luvale and Chokwe. The population has grown in the district because of the opening of mining industries hence the need to diversify economic activities to sustain the needs of the people.

Get in

By bus

Buses travel to/from the Livingstone inter-city bus terminus daily. Approximately 8 hours to travel to Lusaka, the Shalom bus is comfortable and recommended. Oasis busses depart for Mongu at 0500 with a stop/changeover in Sesheke. The road from Livingstone to Sesheke, though less than 200 km, is more pothole than road (the bus frequently opts to drive in the bush beside the road) and will take approximately 5-8 hours.
