  • 6 Na'in — a 2,000-year-old village, on the edge of the Central Desert of Iran, known for extremely fine carpets

Human habitation in Isfahan province dates back to more than 42,000 years ago. 

Isfahan province is one of the largest centers of production of various types of handicrafts in Iran. This province has been the cradle of fine arts and handicrafts for a long time. Brick decorations, tiling, plastering and all kinds of calligraphy in the historical works of Isfahan, from centuries ago to the contemporary period, on the sides and sides of minarets and inside and outside mosques, palaces and the arts of gold embroidery and calligraphy, cashmere and silver work, gold engraving and transcription. All kinds of books, Quran, paintings, and drawings testify to the importance of Isfahan in Iran's cultural heritage.

  • Very dry to hot dry weather in most of the province, including the eastern lowlands and the central and northeastern plains of the province.
  • Semi-humid to humid and cold in the western and southern highlands of the province.
  • Semi-arid in the central and northern highlands of the province.
