Bhilwara is a city of 510,000 people (2022) in Rajasthan in India.

Bhilwara is renowned in the world for its textile industry. The major industry is textiles, with more than 850 manufacturing units in the town. The main textile product is the synthetic fabric used in trousers.

Udaipur (Dabok) Airport (UDR IATA) is the closest to Bhilwara, if travelling by air.

By rail the city of Bhilwara is connected with all the major cities of Rajasthan and other Indian cities. Some of the trains running via Bhilwara Railway station are:

  • Ajmer Hyderabad Special
  • Chetak Express
  • Udaipur-Jaipur Intercity Express

By road the National Highway No. 79 makes Bhilwara well-connected to the most cities in Rajasthan including Ajmer, Jaipur and Udaipur. There are private buses also available to reach Bhilwara from various places in Rajasthan.

  • Bhilwara has a rich cultural heritage, with several festivals and fairs celebrated throughout the year. The city's most famous festival is the Gangaur festival, which is celebrated in the months of March and April. The festival is dedicated to the Hindu goddess Parvati and is celebrated with great pomp and show.
  • 1 Eco Park, Hamirgarh (18 km southeast of Bhilwara). The park is home to a variety of local wildlife. The sunsets here in the natural surroundings are pretty.
