Keuruu is a small municipality located in central Finland, in the region known as Central Finland. It has a population of around 9,000 people and covers an area of approximately 1,350 square kilometers, making it quite rural and sparsely populated. The town is situated on the shores of Lake Keurusselkä.

Keuruu's economy is primarily based on agriculture, forestry, and tourism. There are several large farms in the area that specialize in dairy production, while the forests provide timber for the local sawmills and paper mills. Tourism is also an important industry in Keuruu, with many visitors coming to enjoy the natural beauty of the surrounding lakes and forests.
