Jackson is not known for fine dining. Your best bet is either the Cassville Tavern or some pizza parlor. They're all rather good. If it's kosher you crave, then go to Lakewood, one town east of Jackson.

  • 1 Village Donut Shop (Village Donuts), 45 Cassville Rd, +1 732-928-2444, . Tu-F 5AM-11AM, Sa Su 5AM-noon. Hand-made donuts and other pastries with specials every weekend. $18/dozen.

Drink

[edit]
  • 1 Cassville Tavern, 550 W Veterans Hwy, +1 732-928-1411. This bar and restaurant hosts many events throughout the year.

Sleep

[edit]

Jackson is nice enough, but it offers not one place for sleeping, unless you enjoy the great outdoors. The nearest towns aren't great. Unless you have friends to stay with, your best bet would be a brand name hotel in Point Pleasant, Freehold, or Toms River. If money is no object then either check into the Molly Pitcher Inn in Red Bank, take a room in Princeton, Summit, or New York City, or rent a house in Spring Lake or Bay Head.
