A great hike in the dry season, but not recommended during rains is an 8 kilometer trek (mostly, but not all downhill) through rain forest, within sight of Volcan Baru, into Boquete. Take a half-hour 4WD taxi (shared with two others/$5 per person) up to the ranger station and then hike for 5 hours to the ranger station on the other side of the park. At the other end, exhausted, and still with 4 kilometers to go to reach Boquete, you may be lucky and be able to hitch a ride with a farmer delivering carrots to market.

This city travel guide to Cerro Punta is an outline and needs more content. It has a template, but there is not enough information present. Please plunge forward and help it grow!
