Westerham is a town of 4,500 people (2011) in Kent. The River Darent, which flows through the town, used to power three watermills.

It was the childhood home of General James Wolfe, victor of the Battle of Quebec (1759). It explains the Battle of Quebec, and explores life in the 1730s when the General was a child here. There is a second-hand bookshop in the coachhouse.
