Itō is on the private Izu-Kyuko line from Shimoda to Atami, which is served by the Tokaido Shinkansen. In addition to local services up and down the coast, it's served by four direct JR Odoriko limited express services daily from Tokyo via Atami.

Itō is a popular hot spring destination.

  • Tsuki No Usagi (月のうさぎ). The "Rabbit on the Moon" is a classy traditional hot spring inn, where most rooms feature private outdoor baths with sea views. ¥40,000+/pp.
