Abrantes is a city in Portugal's Ribatejo province. It lies on the River Tagus (Rio Tejo).

Abrantes (uh-BRUHN-t(ih)sh, /ɐ.ˈbɾɐ̃.tɨʃ/) municipality has 34,336 residents (2021 provisional), with about 17,500 living in the city proper.
