Amagasaki is an industrial city.
Amagasaki has access to Kansai International Airport. From the airport a bus or a train can be taken to Shin-Osaka Station (新大阪), then to JR Osaka Station. From there, Amagasaki JR and Amagasaki Hanshin (阪神) are accessible.
The Shinkansen (新幹線) can take you to Shin-Osaka or Shin-Kobe.
Amagasaki has both a Hanshin (阪神) and JR station. Amagasaki Hanshin is located in southern Amagasaki, and Amagasaki JR is in the north. On the Hanshin line, there are local stops at Kuise (杭瀬) and Daimotsu (大物).
Most of Amagasaki consists of factories.
- [dead link] CoCoe. Is a large shopping mall with a variety of shops in and around it. There are some nice restaurants located on the top floor shared with the movie theater. Cocoe can be reached directly out of Amagasaki JR station.
- There is a tiny gem just north of Kuise Station (杭瀬) called Ka Ka (カカ). This Nepalese restaurant has excellent curry and an amazing lunch special.
- The Hopinn Aming Hotel. Is located at Amagasaki JR station.
