Bad Axe is a city in Huron County, part of the Thumb region in Central Michigan. The population is 3,129 as of the 2010 US Census, making it the largest city in the county.
- 1 Albert E. Sleeper House, 302 W. Huron Ave. This private residence was built in 1917 by former Michigan governor Albert Sleeper. He lived in Bad Axe before his term as governor and after it, until his death in 1934. His wife Mary lived in the home until 1954. It functioned as a funeral home until 2006. The house is a two and a half story Greek revival structure.
