Towner is a town in the Lakes and Gardens area of North Dakota. It has a population of about 574 people. Elevation is 1,476 feet above sea level.

Towner describes itself as the "Cattle Capital of North Dakota". The area was first settled in 1884. It was named for a civil war confederate soldier from the area, Oscar Towner.
