Get in[edit]

There are regular buses from Cali (about an hour). Buga is also easily accessible from Buenaventura and Armenia.

From the bus station, it is walking distance to the center. There are also colectivos (COP$1400).

Get around[edit]

It is easy to get places on foot.

Buga has a nice historic central plaza with lots of shade trees, home to many iguanas. It's a nice place to eat an ice cream and people watch on hot days (every day).

  • Basilica del Señor de los Milagros. A famous church that attracts pilgrims.
  • Lighthouse. Buga's location 120 km (70 mi) inland didn't stop them from building a lighthouse here. El Faro de Buga (Q28375689) on Wikidata

  • Buga Hostel, Carrera 13 # 4 – 83 (Near the main square). Backpacker hostel/café that brews delicious beer
