Although there is a railway line, you will only be travelling on it if you're a shipment of wheat. There is an airstrip at Burren Junction Airport, but no scheduled flights.
- On the Kamilaroi Highway
- 1 Bore Baths. Seasonal opening, closed in summer. Artesian bore at a constant 41.5 degrees C. The bore was sunk in 1921.
- 1 Junction City Hotel, Slacksmith Street, ☏ . Cabins with basic cooking facilities and shared bathrooms. Hotel has bistro. cabins from $65.
- 2 Burren junction Bore Baths Primitive Camping Ground. Site with toilets and shower, open all year. $6.00 per night per vehicle.
