The climate of Caçapava is tropical in altitude with dry winters. The warmest month is February, averaging highs of 28.1 °C, and the coldest month is July, averaging lows of 9.6 °C. The wettest month is January, with an average rainfall of 216.9 mm and the least rainy months are July and August with 32.9 and 35.3 mm, respectively.

On some winter days in the city, frost may occur, and often the thermal sensation in July can reach 1 °C. In summer, temperatures rise, ranging from 25 °C to 30 °C, making it a very hot summer.
