Carlton is in the Southern Beaches of Tasmania.

Carlton is a part rural, part residential locality in the local government area of Sorell in the Hobart region of Tasmania. It is located about 15 kilometres south-east of Sorell and has a population of 1119 (2016).

  • 1 Carlton Beach. 2.7km long popular summer surfing beach with a dune reserve behind.
  • 2 Primrose Sands Beach. 1.8km long sandy beach. Toilets near the southern end of the beach. Dogs prohibited 10am to 6pm 1 December to 1 March
