Central Henan is the central part of Henan, China. It includes the prefecture-level cities of Zhengzhou, Xuchang and Luohe.

  • 1 Zhengzhou (郑州) The provincial capital. One of the Eight Ancient Capitals of China.
  • 2 Xuchang (许昌) The place where Cao Cao rises. Its subordinate county-level city Yuzhou is famous for porcelain production.
  • 3 Luohe Luohe on Wikipedia (漯河) Famous for food industry. The template of the Chinese collective economy Nanjiecun is located here.
  • 4 Yuzhou (禹州) Jun Porcelain (均窑) and Shenhou Ancient Town (神垕古镇).

  • Songshan National Park (嵩山国家公园), an UNESCO world heritage place, including Shaolin Temple (少林寺), Songyang Academy (嵩阳书院), Dengfeng Astronomical Observatory (观星台), and more.

Zhengzhou is the main railway hub of China and can be reached from every corner of China. Xuchang and Luohe are located on Jingguang Railway and Jingguang High-speed railway, one of the busiest railways and high-speed railways of China, respectively.

By bus

All the three cities can be reached by bus from the other cities in Henan Province.

By air

Zhengzhou Xizheng International Airport (CGO IATA) is the hub airport of this region as well as the whole Henan Province.
