Chinchiná, a town in the Zona Cafetera, is known as the heart of Colombian coffee. It is settled in a valley surrounded by coffee plantations.

The town is home to the Buendia coffee factory and Cenicafe, a coffee research centre.

  • Colina del Sol is a coffee finca settled on top of a hill overlooking Chinchiná on one side and the mountains on another. It's either a half hour climb uphill or an expensive taxiride. The friendly owner will show you around on his finca for a small fee.   • Some of the smaller coffee factories will give you a short tour if you show interest.






  • It's recommended to stay at least one night Colina del Sol (see section See). It's a nice place to get away from it all. Price per night including food is not more than COP$15,000 per person.
