Coconuco is a small village a curvy hour ride from Popayan whose main attraction is the Aguas Hirviendes hot springs and a few natural pools of cold water. Once in Coconuco, it is necessary to either wait on the main street in town for a mototaxi or hike 1- 1½ hours uphill to the hot springs. There is a fork in the road with two signs that indicate the direction of the hot springs.
