Cundinamarca is a department of Colombia. It is heavily urban around Bogota but has some wonderful colonial and natural attractions in the nearby communities and mountains.

  • 1 Bogotá — the national capital, surrounded by but not part of the Cundinamarca Department.
  • 2 Choachí
  • 3 Funza — a friendly, but otherwise non-notable suburb of Bogotá.
  • Fusagasuga — famous for its spring-like weather and its flowers (especially orchid plantations).
  • Girardot — tropical climate 3 hours from Bogota makes that town a popular destination.
  • Suesca — a popular week end destination for Bogotanos. Excellent rock climbing.
  • 4 Zipaquirá — 40 km north of Bogotá, and known for its Salt Cathedral.

This region travel guide to Cundinamarca is an outline and may need more content. It has a template, but there is not enough information present. If there are Cities and Other destinations listed, they may not all be at usable status or there may not be a valid regional structure and a "Get in" section describing all of the typical ways to get here. Please plunge forward and help it grow!
