Bahia Interior is a large region that covers the less-developed west and north of the state of Bahia in Brazil. It includes the "Coconut Coast" (Costa dos Coqueiros), which is the most northern region on the coast of Bahia, Brazil.

  • 1 Alagoinhas — the excellent quality of its water has attracted several breweries
  • 2 Feira de Santana — home of the Antares Astronomical Observatory
  • 3 Juazeiro — a city with a busy waterfront that can be a base for exploring waterfalls in the region
  • 4 Paulo Afonso — you can visit the hydroelectric complex of three dams that provides power for much of Northeast Brazil

  • 11 Mangue Seco Mangue Seco on Wikipedia — a fishing village of a few hundred people famous for its sand dunes and white sand beaches
  • 12 Morro do Chapéu Morro do Chapéu on Wikipedia — its main attractions are Ferro Doido waterfall and Brejões cave, both beautiful natural monuments
  • 13 São Desidério São Desidério on Wikipedia — its Ilha do Vítor community is a group of artisans who produce handicraft items with raw materials native to the region
  • 14 Sauípe Sauipe on Wikipedia — Costa do Sauípe's hotels and resorts form the largest tourist complex in Brazil
  • 15 Subaúma — a beach village of a couple hundred people
  • 16 Sobradinho Sobradinho, Bahia on Wikipedia — a town created in the 1970s to accommodate the inhabitants of four cities and thirty villages who had to leave their homes when the reservoir was created
