English: The Type-K EIIR postbox (No. HP21 299) in Lower Road, near the entrance to Stoke Mandeville Hospital Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. It was painted gold on 28 August 2012 by Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson, to launch the Paralympic portion of the Royal Mail's gold postbox scheme, where postboxes were painted gold to mark each gold medal at the London 2012 Olympian/Paralympic games. The hospital was chosen as the launch site due to its role as the spiritual home of the Paralympic Games.
