Fleetwood is a seaside resort and fishing town, in Lancashire, in the North West of England.

Fleetwood is surrounded on 3 sides by water--the Irish Sea to the north and west and the River Wyre to the east.

Fleetwood is about 8 miles (13 km) from Blackpool.

By car[edit]

Fleetwood is reached via A585 from Junction 3 of the M55.

By bus[edit]

Local bus services run from Blackpool and other local towns.

By tram[edit]

The Blackpool tramway runs between Fleetwood and Blackpool.

By train[edit]

The nearest stations are Poulton-le-Fylde and Blackpool North. (Fleetwood no longer has a link to the national rail network.)

By plane[edit]

Fleetwood is reachable by bus from 1 Blackpool Airport (BLK IATA) (change of bus needed).

2 Manchester Airport (MAN IATA) is also easily accessible and offers a greater selection of destinations.
