Flen is a town in Södermanland County which 6,200 people call home. Flen municipality, Flens kommun, contains the surrounding countryside, with a total of 16,000 inhabitants.

Flen grew during the early 20th century, where the Stockholm Gothenburg rail line crossed the line between Grängesberg and Oxelösund.

Flen lies some 100 km west of Stockholm, 35 km south of Eskilstuna.

By train

Flen is on the main line between Stockholm and Gothenburg, but most trains only call at nearby Katrineholm.
