Forest is a city in the Mississippi Pines region of Mississippi. One thing about Forest, the name doesn't fail to live up to its surroundings, as you'll feel pretty immersed in that passing through these parts.

Get in[edit]

Get around[edit]

See[edit]

  • 1 Lake Railroad Depot, 1-119 Brooks St, Lake. A Queen Anne Victoria style train depot that operated from the Civil War era to the 1940s, with a caboose outside. But the inside is only accessible during the city's Lakefest Day in May supposedly.

Do[edit]

  • 1 Roosevelt State Park, 2149 MS-13 (to the south of Morton, west of Forest.), +1 601 732-6316. This park offers a good way to explore the Bienville National Forest ecology with nature trails and a lake for boating and fishing. It also has quite the water slide and pool, plus fall colors. $2 per person day use fee, but more for camping.

Buy[edit]

Eat[edit]

  • 1 Garden Patch, 220 Woodland Dr N, +1 601 469-0111. Here's an opportunity to try some soul food, with a buffet.

Drink[edit]

  • If you want to drink, it is best to go to Jackson, Mississippi.
