Gaeta lies in the middle of "Riviera di Ulisse" in Italy. It is located between Rome and Naples, and is one of the most important tourist seaside resorts of the Tyrrhenian coast, with much historical, religious and monumental heritage.

It offers excellent hotels, a fine tourist port, sport facilities, and a number of golden sandy beaches located on the western coast.

Gaeta's beaches are situated between the green vegetation of the hills which slope to the rocks and to the crystal-clear blue sea. In the very heart of the town, between Mt. Orlando and Fontania, is 1 Serapo Beach. On the small, nearby beach of Fontania, one can still see the ruins of an ancient Roman Villa. Northwards, one finds the beaches of 2 Quaranta Remi, 3 Ariana, 4 Arenauta, 5 St. Vito, 6 St. Agostino that still partly maintain their natural and scenic beauty.

On a promontory almost completely surrounded by the sea, there is the "Urban Park of Monte Orlando", dated to 1986. The lock of surrounding sea is "Oasi blu" and is managed by the WWF for scientific and educational purposes.

The rest of the town stretches through typical medieval lanes and streets, a wide castle, Roman monuments, historic churches and many wonderful beaches.
