Guinee Forestiere is a region of Guinea.
- Diécké Forest Reserve —
- 1 Mount Nimba Strict Nature Reserve — a 116 200 hectares-large Biosphere Reserve, which is considered to be a relict of the once continuous West African rainforest belt.
- 2 Ziama Massif —
This is the forested jungle region in the southeast of Guinea, populated by several ethnic groups including the Toma and Lissi. It includes all of Nzerekore province.
Wild chimpanzees at I.R.E.B.
To visit the forest you must register at the I.R.E.B. (Institute de Récherche Environnementale de Boussou). The visit can also be combined with a hike to the top of mount Nimba.
