Güstrow is a town of 29,000 people (2020) that is a former royal residence in Mecklenburg, Germany. Its renaissance palace and well-kept old town are known beyond Northern Europe.

Güstrow is 45 km south of Rostock at the Nebel, an arm of the Warnow.

The town is the southern terminus of the Rostock S-Bahn.
