Hampyeong (함평군) is a county in South Jeolla, South Korea.

The southwest end of the Korean Peninsula is located in the northwest of the west coast of Jeollanam-do. The extension distance between east and west is 26 km, and the extension distance between north and south is 29 km.

Traffic is convenient after passing the West Coast Expressway, National Route 1, National Route 22, National Route 23, and National Route 24, and the distance from Seoul is 439km and the distance from Gwangju is 46.1km.

By bus

There are many buses. From Gwangju, the express buses run every 30 minutes. You can also take intra-city bus - number 100 for ₩1200.

By train

You can take a train to Hampyeong station.

Nearest airports are Muan international airport (near Mokpo) or Gwangju airport.

Taxis are really cheap. You can take the number 100 bus for ₩1200. The ride passes through some beautiful mountains.
