The Kei Islands, located in South-Eastern Maluku, has a beach on Kei Kecil Island called Pasir Panjang, that is to die for.

Note that there are only few accommodations, and they tend to be a little bit more expensive than in other islands. Book in advance if you want accommodation on th beach, specially Coasters and Savana.

Get in[edit]

Airport is in the middle of Kei Kecil - meaning its relatively far from any places. Expect to pay 50.000 Rp for an ojek to go to Langgur.

Get around[edit]

There are bemo going on most roads, and most motorbikes would offer ojek.

See[edit]

Do[edit]

Renting a motorbike to ride around the island can be very nice. Expect to pay 70-100.000 rp/day (jan 2017) without fuel

Eat[edit]

Laze the days away while snorkeling, getting massages on the beach, fishing, going for long walks on the beach, or go for something a little more adventurous. You can explore caves, visit offshore islands, learn Maluku traditional cooking, take painting courses, or visit some cafes that have hammerhead sharks and manta-rays!!

Drink[edit]

Stay safe[edit]

This region travel guide to Kei Islands is an outline and may need more content. It has a template, but there is not enough information present. If there are Cities and Other destinations listed, they may not all be at usable status or there may not be a valid regional structure and a "Get in" section describing all of the typical ways to get here. Please plunge forward and help it grow!
