King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) is a planned city under construction since 2005 in the Hejaz region of Saudi Arabia, just north of Jeddah.

While touted as a whole new city with a focus on logistics and manufacturing, King Abdullah Economic City as of 2023 mainly composes of golf courses and exclusive beach hotels catering to wealthy beach-goers in neighboring Jeddah. The total population is just under 10,000 inhabitants.

Get in[edit]

The city has a station on the Haramain High Speed Railway which connects Mecca with Medina via Jeddah. Tickets can be bought online with Saudi Arabia Railways.
