Lari is a village of over 1,000 people in the heart of the province of Pisa. on top of a hill it is famous for its Vicari's Castle and for the Cherries Fair. It is also called the Cherries town.

The village of Lari is composed of the ancient part of the castle, in a dominant position on a hill, and of a modern part developed around it towards the slopes of the hill.

It is 60 km (37 mi) southwest of Florence, and about 25 km (16 mi) southeast of Pisa.
