Lüshunkou District (旅顺口, Lǚshùnkǒu) is in Dalian. It includes the historic port city of Lüshun, formerly known as Port Arthur.
Get in
[edit]By bus
[edit]The main bus routes from central Dalian to Lüshunkou are bus routes 2002 and 2003, both of which originate from the Dalian Railway Station in Zhongshan District. Bus route 2003 takes a northerly route, while bus route 2002 takes a southerly route.
- 1 Lüshun Bus Station (旅顺汽车站), 27 Jiu San Road (九三路27号). This station serves local buses from central Dalian, and long-distance coaches from other cities.
By metro
[edit]The Dalian Metro has five stations in Lüshunkou District. All are on Line 12. They include Huangnichuan, Longwangtang, Tahewan, Lüshun, Tieshan, and Lüshun New Port - the terminus of Line 12.
- 2 Lüshun Metro Station (旅顺地铁站). Not to be confused with the Lüshun Railway Station, this metro station is the closest one to the historic city of Lüshun. Nonetheless, it's still relatively remote, so it's probably best to transfer to a bus or taxi upon your arrival.
By train
[edit]Lüshun Railway Station is no longer in use. Passenger train services on the Dalian-Lüshun line ceased in 2014.

[edit]Note: Due to the fact that Lüshunkou is a major naval base of the Chinese military, you may encounter some restrictions when visiting some of the attractions if you are not a Chinese citizen. Some historic sites are still under military control, and trespassers may face prosecution. | |
