The Matrix is a science fiction film trilogy created by The Wachowskis, and the base of a franchise including video games and animated films. The film trilogy was shot in multiple locations around the world, most of them available to visit.


Neo is a hacker who learns that mankind's world is just a virtual reality called The Matrix. The Matrix is created by an artificial intelligence, which as wired all human wired to generate electricity for the machines. A rebel group led by Morpheus and Trinity rescues Neo to the real world, from where they re-enter the Matrix to liberate mankind.
