Understand
[edit]Mochudi is one of southern Botswana's pretty towns, with its examples of traditional painted homes and a traditional kgotla.
Mochudi was first settled in the 1500s by the Kwena, who are three most prominent lineage groups of the Batswana people. In the 19th century, the tribes of the Kgatla were settled here, after being forced from the lands by the trekking Boer people.
