Mosta is in Malta.

Understand[edit]

Mosta is a city in the center of Malta. It is the 3rd largest city in terms of population in the Maltese Archipelago.

Get in[edit]

By bus[edit]

Mosta is generally easy to get to from Valletta, buses 41, 42, 44 and 45 all lead to Mosta Square.

By car[edit]

Parking in the main street next to the "Pjazza" (Mosta Square) is tricky, especially in the after noon. It is generally advised to park in some of the side streets as there are usually more parking spaces there. Next to the "Rotunda" there is also free parking.

Rotunda of Mosta
  • 1 Rotunda of Mosta (Basilica of the Assumption of Our Lady). A beautiful church in the center of Mosta, it is one of the largest buildings in Malta with the fourth largest dome in all of Europe. It was built between 1833 and the 1860s to neoclassical designs of Giorgio Grognet de Vassé, on the site of an earlier Renaissance church. The design of the present church is based on the Pantheon in Rome. Rotunda of Mosta (Q153816) on Wikidata Rotunda of Mosta on Wikipedia
