Murrurundi (pop 2017) is a rural town in the Upper Hunter Valley, in New South Wales. The town is located on the Pages River, at the base of the Liverpool Range.

- 1 Murrurundi railway station. Murrurundi is on the Main Northern Line which runs from Sydney all the way up to Wallangarra just past the Queensland border.

[edit]- 2 Burning Mountain (near Wingen). A burning coal seam which emits sulphurous smoke. The underground fire at a depth of approximately 30m is burning for 6,000 years and is the oldest known coal fire.
