Oberon is a small town in the western falls of the Blue Mountains region of the Australian state of New South Wales.
Get in
[edit]From Sydney, drive west along the Great Western Highway (A32) via Katoomba and Lithgow. Just before you reach Lithgow, turn left onto TD1 Jenolan Caves Road and continue until Duckalmoi Rd junction. Once you're at the junction, turn right and continue until you reach Oberon.
From Bathurst / Kelso, use O'Connell Road southeast towards Oberon via O'Connell.

A small local history museum that contains a plethora of artifacts and models of what the early 20th century was like in the region, including a 3D model of 1930s-Oberon (though it's not very large by most means). $5 per person, $12 per family.
