Örebro is a modern city located in the small province of Närke in Svealand in south central Sweden. It's on the flat Närke plains, surrounded by vast forest areas. It's Sweden's 7th largest municipality with a population of about 143,000 (2015).

Understand

[edit]

Örebro is located along Svartån (Black river), which runs in a west-east direction before flowing into lake Hjälmaren in the eastern part of Örebro.

Örebro has an enormous castle in the middle of town, which started as a defensive fortress. A lot of people living here work for the public sector, for instance with statistics.

Bra & Begagnat (Standing on the major square, Järntorget, and looking directly west, on your right hand there is a brown building. Between the brown building and a Tex-Mex restaurant there is a small alley called "Gamla Gatan". Down the alley, 50 m on your right.) Open W 14:00-18:00, Sa 10:00-14:00.
