Ouro Grosso is one of the four cores of Alto Ribeira State Touristic Park (PETAR), being the closest to Iporanga.

By car
  • From Iporanga take SP 165 road to Apiaí, after 14 km (~25 min), right after Margarito Glamping, you will reach a fork, take the right path, cross the river, follow the path, you will see the Park Entrance.
By bus
  • At 07:00, take the bus to Apiaí, at Iporanga, drop at Serro stop, Margarito Glamping, you will reach a fork, take the right path, cross the river, there is only one bus to get there, and get back, do not loose the bus.

Caverna Ouro Grosso

  • 2 Caverna Alambari de Baixo. Having to paths possible, going and coming back by the same entry, or crossing the river and going to another trail, this is one of the most visited caves of the Park, not that close to the Visitors Center, you will have to walk 5 km to hit the cave from the Center.
